If the remote file system that you are connected to contains symbolic links,
they will appear in the Distinct FTP Client file tree with a different
icon (shown in the section “”). Symbolic links, also called soft links,
let you use two or more different names in different file systems for the
same file. You cannot use the FTP Client to create these links, but they
may be created from a Telnet session.
